2011, A Look Back

Well…like every year, 2011 came and went, and before I knew what hit me it was over! While it was a turbulent year, both personally and professionally, a very spectacular year none-the-less. We saw the Cloud take off in record fashion and online data backup continued to soar to new heights. We’ve had some staff changes and recently started our website redesign with a new ‘look and feel’ for Compunite about to emerge. Most importantly, while we thrived during this challenging year never losing sight of how we got here, we remember that there were so many that had a rough go at it.  With that in mind we continue to do what we can to help as I am a big believer that it’s nice to be nice and believe that the little things we do along the way go far to improving the quality of someone else’s life.

For 2012, we have BIG plans! Focusing on a Cloud only strategy as it is a great opportunity for all involved.  In the Cloud you get business continuity, save money and have a better computing experience all while empowering your mobile workforce to be better connected, more productive and highly responsive. This year the Smart Phone will play a bigger role in the remote workforce and as the screens get bigger and the graphics better, the tablets and smartphones will slowly begin to converge.

My final prediction for 2012! The next big thing or the New “.com” is the “Cloud” and we have many years of major growth to come out of it. The cloud is so many things, financial applications, complete desktops and servers, backup and even security! This is a HUGE .com era opportunity and I am glad to be in front of the wave with my surfboard waxed up and ready to go.

So go out there and grab some life people! There is plenty of it waiting for you to grab on to, be brave, challenging, smart and daring and you will succeed!
