eTegrity’s Virtual Office Comes Through During Disaster

New Jersey School Relies on Cloud Services as Storm Clouds Loom Overhead

September 9, 2011.  PARSIPPANY, NJ — Hurricane Irene was about to hit at the worst time for Kathy Mone, Business Manager of Elysian Charter School.  Located in Hoboken, New Jersey, her school was in Irene’s direct path and subject to mandatory evacuation with less than two weeks to go before the fall semester was to begin.

Mone was forced to relocate to a hotel about an hour west of town.  Despite the evacuation, she didn’t have to miss a beat in her preparation.  “I was able to work all through the weekend on my accounting system in order to be ready for the opening of school,” said Mone, who uses Virtual Office cloud services from eTegrity Systems International.  “My principal was very happy with how smoothly the opening of school went. Our success would not have been possible without the reliability of Virtual Office.”

A client for more than a year, Mone recognized the benefits of Virtual Office even before faced with an emergency situation.  “We have an enormous amount of work to do to comply with state and Federal regulations.  This means that I regularly need to work online during evenings and weekends.  We cannot afford any IT staff, so we don’t have a network for the computer in the school.”

In conjunction with one of its Channel Partners, eTegrity was able to demonstrate how Elysian could store and access their data in a secure, hosted environment, eliminating the school’s need to purchase, host and maintain their own hardware and software while utilizing Virtual Office on a “pay as you go” basis.

I was delighted to find an affordable solution to my dilemma,” says Mone. “Working in the cloud has greatly increased my efficiency and its reliability has been better than I expected. I am accustomed to my cable or phone service not working during extended rainstorms, but this has never happened with Virtual Office!”

“This is a perfect example of how our Virtual Office solution benefits End-Users,” said Steven Ferman, eTegrity’s President and CEO.  “Our Channel Partners benefit as well.  Their clients are assured of 24/7 access to their data … along with round-the-clock service … without having to make major investments in their own infrastructure or staffing.  At the same time, Partners build their recurring revenue base without substantial investments in their own staff and infrastructure – a true win-win opportunity.”

Available either preconfigured with a wide selection of common software, or as a customized solution, Virtual Office expands eTegrity’s cloud computing solution offerings beyond its flagship data backup and recovery product.  To learn more about Virtual office, or eTegrity’s Channel Partner programs, please visit the Company’s Website http://www.etegrity.com.
